Mrrrphhh, I haven't been checking my flists lately, and I think that's partially because I feel like I want to be a hermit while simultaneously craving interaction right now. Quite an ambivalent state of affairs. I think I'm feeling stressed since I'm showing the same signs as I used to, which is a bit odd since I'm actually surprisingly on top of my university work this semester.

Looking back over some of the peer assessment things I've done for my course, I've sort of come to the realisation that I'm pretty bad at giving compliments and praise. That's something that's going to need to change soon. I also feel creatively drained ever since I started this course. I'm not sure if that's because I've been putting most of my energy into analysis (for both my coursework and for RP) meaning there's not much left for creating, or if that's because I channel all my creativity into RP instead.

There's a couple of late pictures I need to draw for people once I get over the inertia. I need to update a few lists, too. I know there's a certain set of Dissidia ficlets I need to catch up reading up on |3a

I've also been wanting to write DDS fic for some time now, but I find the duology surprisingly hard to write for. Here's a snippet of something I've been working on every once in a while since mid April.

Kind of just realised that when mum's watching TV, the noise seems louder than what it used to be a few months ago. I know her hearing is not as good as it used to be in at least one ear, but hmm it's a bit concerning. It's also gotten to the point that being around the corner with some music turned on isn't enough to filter out the TV. And I don't like to have my music loud since then I both get a headache and can't hear myself think.

So... it looks like I'm going to be shifting my sleep schedule to sleeping early and waking up at stupid o'clock. I do admit that I feel more refreshed when I sleep early and wake up early, so I guess it's not such a bad thing.

There's just two main problems with this.

1) I won't be able to chat to RL friends who only come online later in the night (online being the main form of communication).

2) Not falling asleep on Wednesdays when I have to be at uni from 9 to 6 :| But I guess that's a problem regardless of whether I switch my sleep schedule or not since it's such long day :|


Took a self-esteem test out of curiosity and got 49/100. I forgot to copy the whole results text, but tl;dr I have a generally positive opinion of myself but somewhat low self worth. The other stuff it said regarding the way I view myself struck me as being (a little depressingly) true as well. I admit this is better than what it used to be, but. Yeah. Still got a long way to go.


Also how did I talk myself into drawing vatheon!Minato being crushed by all his Social Links? That's like. If you thought canon!Minato was crazy for juggling so many people (13 Social Links, though Fool/Judgement/Death are naturally progressing ones), Vat!Minato has... 54 Social Links last time I counted (which would be today). asdf;lkj THIS WILL BE GREAT BUT I... still haven't finished that big fat Castlevania picture um. Although I have to admit that 84/117 monsters (70%!) is a pretty big achievement for me.

How do you handle the 'voice' of a manga character when they often go through different scanlation groups, some who're better than others? I'm so used to having just the one translation (see: games) so it's kind of interesting now that I'm RPing from manga * A*a

Also, going to be doing my Grade 8 piano this year. This should be... interesting, to say the least. Especially given that I haven't done any piano for THREE YEARS aside from the occasional song every few months and that one time I played for TST. And can't remember any of my Grade 7 scales ! 8D ! But I'm kind of looking forward to having this to learn how to focus in place of Tuesday nights last year, although I'm not looking forward to the theory work.

1) Create a graphic (200 x 200 max size) to represent your personal "candy". It should have your username on it, but otherwise can feature whatever you want. Make it something special since it's self-representative.

2) Make a post with the subject "trick or treat?". Put your "candy" somewhere in it, and be sure to repost these instructions.

3) Then, go around other people's LJs and reply to them with either "trick" or "treat". If you reply with "trick", they will give you an LJ dare that you have to perform before taking their candy. If you're too wimpy for that, simply say "treat" and take their candy.

4) List all your collected candies in your original "trick or treat?" post to show off your collection, being sure not to direct-link! (but I don't care if you do)

So. I just recently got topped into reading Solanin and hrghhh so good. It just hits a little close to home for me. I'm only up to Chapter 08 right now, but the best part so far, was that Billy-centric chapter. Just... the end, where Billy started getting dejected about the way he lives his life, the old man gives him a note that says "Thank you for every time". It just hits so hard, that moment of joy.
