1. Angst
The worst thing about having a squid for a partner wasn't the occasional (pleasantly) uncomfortable intrusion, but a sudden, sickening inability to eat calimari ever again.

2. AU [the Little Mermaid]
The wonderful singing voice of his rescuer belonged to... a squid?

3. Crack!fic
When the Ika-kraken rose from the depths of the ocean, Edgeworth didn't know what to do except object to this unexpected development.

4. Crossover [Robot Unicorn Attack (http://games.adultswim.com/robot-unicorn-attack-twitchy-online-game.html)]
As he rode the rainbow robot unicorn, Edgeworth felt his heart leap every time he saw the flying squid as he came many stars and faeries closer to the dream he could never achieve.

5. First Time
Edgeworth tried to pretend it was just him and his hand -- if he looked at the ceiling, he couldn't see the mass of prehensile appendages -- but his hand had never felt so good.

6. Fluff
He was pleased Ika-chan had a taste for the finest barramundi he offered her; he just had to remember she wasn't one of the side dishes.

7. Humour
It was the only thing missing from this relationship.

8. Hurt/Comfort
After Shinjiro punched Edgeworth in the face and committed severe acts of violence upon him, Ika-chan came to Edgeworth and made it all better, even though she was the reason for the hurting in the first place.

9. Smut
When Ika-chan grew up, Edgeworth discovered she was now long enough to please him in multiple places at once.

10. UST
The feelings Edgeworth had for Ika-chan was the inappropriate kind between animals and man, and her child-like voice didn't help when Edgeworth second guessed his desires.

...fffffffffffffft hahahahaha.

BEAT/KANJI
1. Plushie
When Beat spotted Kanji's handmade dolls, he immediately snatched one up and said, "Whoa! You remind me of a girl I know! She makes this kinda stuff all the time," before Kanji snatched the doll back and yelled, "You sayin' I'm a girl?"

2. Drinking game
Somehow, when Kanji started downing cans of soda impossibly fast, Beat took it as a challenge, and by the time the day was over, there were fifty empty cans and two teens with queasy stomachs.

3. Grit
Beat was deeply ashamed of the way his voice broke in an unmanly yelp from Kanji's attentions, and grit his teeth so he'd never make that sound again.

4. Battle scars
When Beat asked about the scar above his eye -- probably expecting it to be from beating up punks -- Kanji dodged the embarrassing, frustration-with-the-sewing-machine related answer with, "Nearly died from it," (from embarrassment) and Beat just gave a low, horrible laugh and replied, "Yeah, dying sucks."

5. Formals
Kanji refused to be Beat's partner for the dinner dance -- "You sayin' I'm like Yosuke? -- and when they told each other they looked dumb in a tux, they both ditched.

6. Defensive
"You sayin' I like dudes?" Kanji demanded, and Beat quickly said, "No way, man!", which seemed to calm Kanji down, until he asked Beat, "So... you sayin' you like dudes? 'Cause... I'm not interested in dudes, you hear me?"

7. Dew
Kanji would work on the dolls through the night until water began to condense on his windows while Beat lay flat on his back, snoring loudly.

8. Noisy
The first time they met was because of the constant grind of skateboard wheels late at night keeping Kanji's mother awake.

9. Leather
They both found out even leather wasn't strong enough to contain either of them.

10. Aftershock
Beat came before Kanji, shamefully, but felt far better about it when he discovered he lasted longer.

And it's so them. I love it!

L/NAOTO
1. Angst
It wasn't the stillness in his body that was the worst; it was the first and only time she had seen his eyes closed.

2. AU [

They met at a hospital for the same reason -- someone close -- and they stood beside each other and never said a word that left the recesses of their mind.

3. Crack!fic
"You require a Nice Hat to be a detective," Naoto told him one day, and L thought for a moment, looking at his reflection containing his bare head, before he allowed Naoto to buy him a Very Nice Hat.

4. Crossover [Robot Unicorn Attack (http://games.adultswim.com/robot-unicorn-attack-twitchy-online-game.html)]
Theoretically, unicorns shouldn't exist, but a unicorn -- a rainbow robot unicorn, no less! -- was their only (outlandish!) mode of transport through this world of purple plateaus, and as she held on to her hat, Naoto wondered how L accepted it so easily.

5. First Time
They never used the discussion table again after that, even though it was the discussion -- appropriate, detective discussion -- that sparked the whole mess in the first place.

6. Fluff
Naoto was unexplainably pleased at the results of her meticulous attention to detail; the chocolates she had painstakingly made were lazily devoured, accompanied with a request she make more.

7. Humour
"And what do you suggest we do about this?" Naoto held up her handcuffed wrist and jangled the attached chain to reiterate her point -- they were cuffed together until someone brought the key -- and he sat down in front of his tea, adding sugar cube after sugar cube before he replied, "Wait."

8. Hurt/Comfort
L didn't know how to offer comfort in the usual ways -- words of sympathy, hugs -- and just placed the list of suspects and their photos and asked Naoto what she thought.

9. Smut
The metal around his wrist, he noted, was warm, but nothing compared to the smaller body on top of him.

10. UST
It was the cautious respect that allowed them to work well as a team, but it was also the respect that kept them an appropriate distance apart.

Pride didn't allow either of them to show any sign of weakness before the other.

2. AU [World of Warcraft] [THIS IS SO HORRIBLE BUT I DECIDED TO LEAVE IT HERE ANYWAY]
Jade flew up to Toto on his Magic Broom and said, "I'll let you ride my broomstick."

3. Crack!fic
As he lay back on the operating table, Jade couldn't help but feel unease when he saw his surgeon lick his bloodstained lips.

4. Crossover [Robot Unicorn Attack (http://games.adultswim.com/robot-unicorn-attack-twitchy-online-game.html)]
Jade inspected the innards of the rainbow robot unicorn after Toto stopped its run, and wondered how a mechanical creature could shed tears.

5. First Time
Jade's own experiments hadn't been nearly as capable of indepedent thought as Toto, so he should have known Toto wasn't nearly as predisposed to following instructions.

6. Fluff
They both took a small measure of satisfaction at the very dead person before them and her still beating heart.

7. Humour
It amused Jade, seeing Toto squirm at the mention of intimacy when he was was such an advocate of personal space invasion, and he carefully filed that piece of information away in his mind.

8. Hurt/Comfort
Jade was about to put disinfectant on the cut along his hand, but held still when he felt a tongue against skin licking the wound shut.

9. Smut
They both made their mark on each other; carefully calculated carvings along muscle and bone were Jade's signature sign of dominance, while nigh unhealable wounds and bloodied sheets were Toto's.

10. UST
There was too much interest in taking each other apart -- in their minds and with their tools of their trade -- for anything less than a bloody end for one.

Joshua/Mischief. Or Mischief/Joshua.

JOSHUA/MISCHIEF
1. Angst
It kept on getting him in trouble, but always left him to face the consequences alone.

2. AU
There was a time and a place where they'd never met, and while it made for a far nicer Joshua, it also made for a very boring Joshua.

3. Crack!fic
It had spurred Joshua to try some because it was illegal, but Joshua decided shortly after that he didn't like smoking.

4. Crossover [Robot Unicorn Attack (http://games.adultswim.com/robot-unicorn-attack-twitchy-online-game.html)]
Joshua rode the robot unicorn with a wide grin, wanting to see the peaks of mischief, but what he didn't know was that failure was inevitable.

5. First Time
The day after, Joshua was so jittery and filled with desire he did it again, but was caught red handed.

6. Fluff
They got on so well together that Joshua never considered any other...

7. Humour
... because mischief was the only one who could make him laugh long and hard.

8. Hurt/Comfort
Sometimes Joshua ended up with bruises from other people when mischief took over his common sense, but he always laughed when he thought about how much fun he'd had and swore never to give up mischief as long as that troublemaking desire stayed with him.

9. Smut
It was the best thing that had ever happened to Joshua, and a little voice in the back of his head kept screaming, "More! More!"

10. UST
Joshua was young... too young... but mischief had grabbed hold of him, creeping into his mind before Joshua gave in.
