So, this was something from a long time ago that I want to do for my current fandom characters now. Pick 5 quotes from here that applies to your characters, not necessarily from the characters' POV.

Additionally DMW 27 is outtt asdf;lkj each update makes me so EEE \o/ but uh. How do you handle the 'voice' of a manga character when they often go through different scanlation groups, some who're better than others? I'm so used to having just the one translation (see: games) so it's kind of interesting now that I'm RPing from manga * A*a

Try and distill what the character generally is from the translations, and lean towards the group you think is better. As painful as it is to attempt (and I should know -- right now I'm forcing myself to canon review a manga licensed by Tokyopop), you can end up deciphering what they would have said, and replacing "bust a move, girl" with "let's go already", "allow us to depart", "move it", or whatever the better translators would have gone with becomes easier as you go.

Yeahhh might have a little difficulty with that since Toto's appeared like. 4-5 times in canon. 3 of those 4-5 times are with different scanlators xDDD But that makes sense! /takes your advice on board

(oh god I don't know if I should try getting Tokyopop's translation of DMW when they get caught up ;; )
