1. Angst
When the conflicts of interests became too much, it was time to say goodbye.

2. AU (Mafia)
Those two were his right-hand man and left-hand man, but Souji never revealed which was which.

3. Crack!fic
He was the only one who didn't have a game, but that didn't matter; his canon hadn't finished yet, his game wasn't over.

4. Crossover (Starcraft)
They should have known Gin was the sort to be very good at zerg rushes.

5. First Time
It was easy deciding what positions they should take; none of them were Aizen, Joshua didn't like putting in more effort than required, and Souji was used to filling whatever role required.

6. Fluff
If it was one thing they truly shared, it was their love for taking apart peoples' brains, even though what they did afterwards was different.

7. Humour
It was what drew them together, at first.

8. Hurt/Comfort
Hurting was part of the game -- finding the others' weaknesses and exploiting them was all in the rules -- so they knew when one of them broke, no one would pick up the pieces, only chalk up a win for themselves.

9. Smut
"So he's weak to blowing?"

They were all Players, but the ones closest to the Players were the Pieces.

Maya never wanted to come over to his place; too much sand, she claimed, keeps on getting into uncomfortable places, she said.

2. AU (Fantasy, mediaeval?)
He knelt, holding his sword by the flat of the blade and raising it above his head, a symbol of servitude, and she placed the crown upon his head.

3. Crack!fic
Phreeoni didn't realise just how much work it was being in charge of an ant colony was until the flow of eggs coming from him never stopped.

4. Crossover (Katekyo Hitman Reborn! maybe?)
It wasn't often that someone intruded on his dream, even less a tiny woman who poisoned the earth as she walked.

5. First Time
With a tongue as long as Phreeoni's, you'd think he'd be better at using it.

6. Fluff
She heard Phreeoni could curse others into stone with his looks, but every time she looked at him, he was stunned into silence.

7. Humour
She had all kinds of ornamental pieces -- rings, armlets, tiaras -- and they all looked out of place on shapeless Phreeoni, but she kept putting them on him anyway.

8. Hurt/Comfort
He may have been a Brute, but he was one of the few near her who understood what it meant to be Large.

9. Smut
She moved much faster than him, and he didn't dare to take any of his four eyes off her.

When Maya brought Phreeoni to her home, he found out she already had a family.
