A familiar-looking man is standing on the other side of the street...

Ronaldo: We've defeated all of the Septentriones! The will of the species is united!
Ronaldo: All the conditions are met! Now show us the path to Polaris!

Anguished One: ...Not all of the conditions, Ronaldo Kuriki. There is still one Septentrione left.

Airi: What...? S-Seriously? But we beat all seven...

Anguished One: Yes, you did. But the ordeal of the Septentriones...
Anguished One: Today has been set as the day you will meet the last of them.

Otome: No...! Another Septentrione? There was one left...?

Ronaldo: All right, tell us! Where can we find this last one!?

Anguished One: Don't be hasty, Ronaldo Kuriki. First, I will test you a bit to see if you are worthy...
Anguished One: Now... Let's begin. Are you ready?

[Anguished One snaps his fingers, and the demon(s) that appear depends on whether you've defeated Botis and/or Bifrons. If you defeat both of them, Black Frost will appear.]

Black Frost: Hee-ho! I'm Black Frost! It's nice to meet you, now die screaming in Hell!

Joe: Ugh, demons? So, are you going to fight us, after all?

[Anguished One glows and begins to float.]

Anguished One: Of course. The path you seek is difficult and arduous, after all.
Anguished One: I wish for you to show me that you have the power and resolve to see it through.

> Fine.
> We can do it.

Anguished One: Then, let's begin. Defeat all that stands before you and return silence to this place.

[Anguished One begins to float away.]

Ronaldo: Ngh... Wait! What's going on here!? Are you an enemy after all!?

Anguished One: ...Don't be hasty, Ronaldo Kuriki. You have all overcome ordeals. This is no different.

[Anguished One disappears in a flash of flight. Demons spawn.]

Ronaldo: Ngh... Let's do this! If we don't defeat them, we can't ask him why he's doing this...!

Joe: ...I don't really get it, but it looks like we've got to do this.

Otome: Watch out, everyone! Incoming!

Jungo: Mhm...! We have to defeat those demons!

[Mission Start!]

[Black Frost's turn.]
Black Frost: The messanger of love and justice is here! Time for some magical punishment!★

Black Frost: ...Ho? What're you saying, ho? You've got me confused with somebody else!

Black Frost: Ho... How cruel, ho. I can't forgive you for that, ho! Eat my punishment!

[Upon defeating Black Frost.]
Black Frost: H-Hee...! Maybe I lost, but don't you f-ho-get about hee! Don't, don't, don't!

[Upon defeating all the demons, Mission Complete!]

[Anguished One returns, floating back onto the ground.]

Anguished One: Amazing. The powers you have fostered over these last eight days are real.

Fumi: Dude, of course. Do you at least trust us a bit now?
Joe: Well... Yeah. So how about it? Do you trust us a little more now?

Anguished One: Indeed, I understand now. But... there is something that you must still do.
Anguished One: ...You will be using what you call the "Terminal" to go to where Polaris awaits.
Anguished One: But... the one you currently have is too weak, and cannot harness the power required.
Anguished One: First, you must find a way to strengthen the Terminal that you do have.

Ronaldo: All right, we believe you! We just have to boost the Terminal's power, right?

Anguished One: Yes, that's correct. Let us meet again... Shining One and Ronaldo Kuriki.

[Anguished One floats, before disappearing in a pillar of light.]

Airi: *sigh* So we still can't reach Polaris yet.

> Oh well.
> Let's focus on the Terminal.

Ronaldo: Yeah, Hiro's right. Let's make strengthening the Terminal our priority!

Joe: Sounds good. But uh... how do we strengthen the Terminal anyway?

Airi: Hmm... I don't have a clue. We gotta think about this...
