[DeSu 2] 4th Day - At Hakata
< Prev | Index | Next >
[Mei Station - Gold Clock] [20:30]
As you walk down the street, someone calls out to you...
Ronaldo: Hiro! Over here. You weren't followed, right?
> We're all clear.
> What did you want?
Ronaldo: Well... you remember when we attacked the JP's branch?
> You were weak.
> You were good.
Ronaldo: I got as many files as I could off their computer... so I could expose their conspiracy.
Ronaldo: I didn't get much, due to the security and time constraints. But I found this.
[Ronaldo shows a video of a city... which has been eaten up by this great darkness. The video continues to show more cities and towers that Hiro had previously seen ruined, now being consumed by a creeping darkness.]
> What is this?
> Where is this?
Ronaldo: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya... We know those three cities are safe.
Ronaldo: But don't you think it's odd...?
> What is?
> True...
Ronaldo: We know they made contact with Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Beppu.
Ronaldo: But apart from those first three cities... there's been no mention of the others since.
Ronaldo: No one knows the state of the cities besides the ones we can freely travel between.
> And this is why?
> Is this is being kept secret?
Ronaldo: I don't know... We have no way of finding out what that black, scarlike thing in the photo is.
Ronaldo: But this was taken from the JP's server. There's no doubt they're hiding something.
> Can't we get there?
> Is there a way to check?
Ronaldo: Given the situation, it won't be easy.
> What about JP's?
> What about the Terminals?
Ronaldo: If JP's had a photo of Fukuoka, they must have a branch there as well.
Ronaldo: If the Terminals let them travel between branches like Tokyo and Nagoya...
Ronaldo: There must be a Terminal in their Fukuoka branch too! Good thinking, Hiro!
> How do we get there?
> We don't have codes.
Ronaldo: Hrm... You're right. JP's uses special codes to control the Terminal destinations.
Ronaldo: The codes we stole were only for Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka... You don't have them either?
> No.
> Unfortunately not...
Ronaldo: I see. Hm... That's a problem.
> Would they be at JP's?
> Would someone have them?
Ronaldo: Hotsuin would have them, but asking for those would be too risky, even for you...
Ronaldo: On the other hand... someone who knows a lot about JP's equipment might have them.
> All right.
> I'll look for them.
Ronaldo: Thanks. I'll give you this, if it helps...
Ronaldo hands you a photo of what appears to be Fukuoka...
Ronaldo: I'll also try to dig up whatever information I can. Well then...
You say your farewells to Ronaldo and leave...

Ronaldo: Hiro! Over here. You weren't followed, right?
> What did you want?
Ronaldo: Well... you remember when we attacked the JP's branch?
Ronaldo: Hrm... Th-That's not what I meant. It wasn't just food we seized at the time.
> You were good.
Ronaldo: Ha... That's not what I meant. It wasn't just food we seized at the time.
Ronaldo: I don't know... but it seems to be a picture of Fukuoka.
> Where is this?
Ronaldo: Fukuoka, from what I can tell. I have no idea what's going on there, though...
Ronaldo: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya... We know those three cities are safe.
Ronaldo: But don't you think it's odd...?
Ronaldo: Has JP's told you about the condition of any of the other cities?> No.
> A little.
> True...
Ronaldo: ...See, that's what I'm getting at.
Ronaldo: We know they made contact with Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Beppu.
Ronaldo: But apart from those first three cities... there's been no mention of the others since.

Ronaldo: Hm...!? You mean to Fukuoka and Sapporo? Well...
> Is there a way to check?
Ronaldo: Hmm... It would be great if we could go directly to places like Fukuoka or Sapporo, but...
Ronaldo: Given the situation, it won't be easy.
Ronaldo: JP's... Wait a second. That's right, there is a way!
> What about the Terminals?
Ronaldo: The Terminals... Wait a second. There is a way!
Ronaldo: If JP's had a photo of Fukuoka, they must have a branch there as well.
Ronaldo: If the Terminals let them travel between branches like Tokyo and Nagoya...

Ronaldo: I see. Hm... That's a problem.
Ronaldo: Hm...? Well, yes. JP's controls the Terminals, after all.
> Would someone have them?
Ronaldo: Most likely... JP's controls the Terminals, after all.
Ronaldo: Hotsuin would have them, but asking for those would be too risky, even for you...
Ronaldo: On the other hand... someone who knows a lot about JP's equipment might have them.
