ALL MY TABLEFLIPS
I HAVE DISSIDIA 012.
ALL THE CAMERA RAGE. THAT IS ALL.
It certainly feels like Onion Knight has been buffed, though nothing nearly as major as some of the other characters. That and I'm not sure how well he'll hold up on higher levels of play, due to different game mechanics.
Overall, he feels faster, especially since he's able to run around many attacks from the get go. Blizzard tracks slightly upwards and you have no idea how good that little change is, seriously. Blade Torrent seems to have longer range and also tracks upwards, though I may be wrong about this since I never used Blade Torrent after I got the brave-HP skills in the first game. I haven't really noticed much different in damage with Strength Booster, but honestly I see no reason to not have it, since right now I have nothing better to spend my CP on. I'm also messing myself up a lot because I swapped around the controls for some of his attacks so.
But losing your jumps after you dodge in the air is really messing me up, since that significantly hinders his manoeuvrability in the air. Even more so since he drops like a rock thanks to his fast speed. Which basically makes not fighting near a nice platform a pain, and really makes me wonder how I'm going to beat Chaos since I relied on aerial combat to beat him. I also keep getting caught underneath platforms with no good way of getting out, and I keep missing the ground by a slight amount, or slipping off them by accident, though that might be a consequence of me not being used to his faster move speed. His jumps seem slower, though I'm not sure if that's because I'm not boosted yet...
I'm also not really sure how I want to gear up Onion Knight. He seems even more fragile in this game, and without a Smiting Soul, I'm really not sure how to overcome his flaws outside of PLAY A PERFECT GAME (and use a Vaan assist as cannon fodder; I'm sure Onion Knight takes some glee in this) which is ridiculously hard when you're still learning all these new attacks and changes.
The Emperor is now a legit threat and Golbez got even harder??? That guy doesn't need more buffs omg DDD: CoD seems to be a little easier, though this is likely because I'm still a n00b levels. Enemy boosters are even more bullcrap 8(
Out of the 012 characters I've played so far (so everyone in 012 scenario), Vaan seems to be my best and most fun (maybe I just like the sound of crossbow bolts) and his contact magic is so pretty and satisfying. He does take a while to get used to, though, and limited CP is proving to be a real issue. I want to enjoy playing Tifa, but I think her play style doesn't suit me at all.
I've also noticed that I get dicked over by the camera a lot more in this game. Not just on the new maps, but also on the old ones, too. I keep on derping and running into walls or ceilings, or getting chased while a wall blocks my view. Chasing is definitely more exciting and I am so bad at defending against chases now. However, I think the timing for kicking enemies across the screen still holds, but I should test this at higher levels.
Sob Onion Knight is my one true love character though. After flipping tables over the 012 story because I keep getting hit by attacks I'd normally because to just run around, going back to Onion Knight was like. OH MY GOD ALL THIS SPEED I HAVE MISSED YOU. Onion Knight is totally the way to travel on the world map, too.
/flees to go out.

Sob I suck at using any of the villains... well maybe except whats-his-name again... Gabarath? Something like that.

hahahaha gabby ;; I've never used him. I actually didn't get around to using most of the villains, but I went and tried Kuja since I'd seen videos and he looked fun. And Cloud of Darkness because I feel obligated to try her thanks to her TENtacles :3c

Gabarath is kind of special, in the sense that you can't perform any HP attacks with him until you have him in EX Mode. Until then you're stuck with Bravery attacks, but at the same time you get a nifty EX charge move you can abuse to your advantage, and he does have an EX Move like everybody else so you can make use of them for massive damage.

Yeah, I've heard about Gabby. I don't think I really like that playstyle though :C Also, it turns out he can damage you with HP attacks in chases so I was kind of WHAT. GABBY. DEALING HP DAMAGE WHILE NOT IN EX-MODE??? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS!? I kind of think EX charge is like a taunt, a bit like Snooze and Lose, since it's a sure fire way to get the opponent to try and hit you hahahahahahaha. I guess you'd just have to give him a lot of EX-force type accessories to make him effective?

Fuck you Feral Chaos.Fffft yeah, there is that. He's just fun to use as something different, but certainly not somebody that most players can use. Its like trying to master Exdeath who relies on countering every bloody thing. |:
