In which I am very fail
[Computer lab in the middle of uni, 10 mins before class]
Me: (Oh, I should get going since I need to use the toilet)
Me: (Hmm... Next class is in New Technologies building)
Me: (I dunno where the toilets are there. Engineering building's on the way, and I know where the toilets are there...)
Me: *leaves for the Engineering building*
Me: *uses the toilet. steps outside to leave for the New Tech building*
Rain: *STARTS POURING*
Me: (Huh. I should get my umbrella...)
Me: *looks in bag for umbrella*
Me: Oh SHIT, I left it in the computer room (in the engineering building).
Now, I was on the bottom floor, and the Engineering computer room is on the third floor, so I RAN up three flights of stairs and RAN to the computer room... only to find the door locked DK
SO, I figured I'd have to come back later. Luckily, the rain had cleared to a drizzle. I figured that since the New Tech building was pretty close, I wouldn't get that wet.
So then I went to the New Technologies building, which has a shitload of stairs. My class was on the 5th floor. I entered on the 3rd floor and went up the stairs to the 4th floor... only to find the staircase to the 5th floor blocked off with a sign that said STAFF ONLY.
Me: (What the crap. The uni wouldn't send us to a class on a floor we had no access to... would they? :| )
So then I checked my timetable... and realised I was in the wrong building. I was supposed to be in the ARCHITECTURE building. Which is on the OTHER side of the Engineering building. So I RAN to the architecture building.
FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T GO TO MY UNI, the Architecture building has got really shitty architecture. There's like, 4? Entrances. 2 are on Floor 2, and the other 2 are on Floor 3. That's not what's so dodgy about it. There is a main staircase that only takes you to every two floors (actually, I think ALL the staircases only take you up to every 2nd floor). So it only takes you to Floor 2, 4 and 6. If you want to get to Floor 5, you have to take stairs to Floor 4, and walk around to find stairs leading up to Floor 5, which shoudn't really be called a Floor when all it is are rooms connected to floor 4 via stairs :|
And since I didn't know where this room was. I was going across Floor 4 and going up stairs to check if that was my room. Which. Most weren't. orz
... I was late by about 5 minutes.
