It always makes me feel incredibly happy when people tell me they can SO see that happening or they can imagine it or they can visualise a scene I write.

It always makes me incredibly happy because half the time I can't visualise very well myself.

The closest I can come to 'seeing' are maybe little flashes of events, objects. Maybe an expression, a moment of touch, an unfolded page of a newspaper. But anything more than that is just...black. Or blurs at best. If I imagine people, I can't see details at all, at most, mostly only how they interact, which is possibly half the reason why I never seem to describe the looks of my characters.

But it's nice knowing others can see things in my writing when I utterly fail at seeing it myself. At least I know I'm doing it right? |||OTL
