Some Timeline history brainstorming for the cities. Still using ROverse names. Will be culling a lot of the WHY IS THAT EVEN THERE kind of things. Not sure if I should keep Umbala...

First, there was Morroc, Geffen and Payon. They kept to their own respective territories, and none of the 'cities', knew the others existed. At this time, Morroc was the largest and most 'developed', having buildings and some semblance of infrastructure. Eremes Guile should have lived in this time. Geffen was a smattering of tribes who were fighting for existence with the orcs, kobolds and goblins. Payon was more organised, but like the Geffenese was existing on a hunter-gatherer lifestyle with wooden huts? as their shelter.

Later, one tribe of Geffenese moved eastwards in search of some other place to live, away from the fighting. There they found land with a slightly warmer and more temperate climate than what they were used to, and an abundance of animals that were less vicious than those in Geffen. They settled there, eventually developing farming techniques, buildings etc. This area then became Prontera.

SOME TIME LATER. Prontera began to rise to prominence. Some of those Geffenese in Prontera returned to Geffen to unite the tribes and push back the demi-humans, later teaching the Geffenese construction of more permanent homes etcetc. Morroc and Prontera establish contact. Morroc is the larger and more powerful of the two.

Discovery of magic in Geffen.

Payon has begun to settle into a hunter/farmer lifestyle and construction happensss. People from Morroc explore westward and find Comodo, away from iunno, Morroc politics? w/e.

A team of explorers from Geffen and Prontera search Northward and discover Yuno. As the move to settle Yuno happened, Keyron and Prontera rose to power by causing Ragnarok. Morroc was decimated and turned into a desert. Geffen was also hit fairly badly. Payon was undiscovered and thus untouched. However, as discovery of Yuno was not common knowledge, the Yuno settlement was untouched by Ragnarok. Yuno grew as Keyron's assassination caused civil war in Pront over who would become the new leader.

(Ragnarok is the time when the ruling goddess went to hibernate, leaving the world in the hands of the Stream and Dog (Elarcil-verse translation of God I can't believe I'm going with this). i.e. Switch-over of responsibility to lesser gods who can't handle so many people. Thus, Ragnarok and civil war. Technically initial population is about 5x? more than T&T's time.)

For the most part, Yuno was forgotten until things settled down on the mainland and someone decided to send another exploring team. By then Yuno was already flourishing and completely self-sufficient, outstripping Pront in population count. Both Yuno and Pront develop the "priestly" "magic" and associated classes religion blasdhfl for different reasons. + founding of Al de by Pront.

Discovery of Payon, + pushing further to find the location where Alberta is built by Prontera/Payon mix team. Izlude happens.

Redicovery of Comodo by Geffen. blah blha blaksjdf;alks I'm too tired to get anymore out of this OTL

Payon has an undead problem. Prontera sort of fixes it. This begins payon prontera alliance, and the rise of the pront church's power when glastheim happens. Pity Pront didn't remove the problem, only contained it.

Somewhere in the translation, I'll make Lutie one of those iuuno MOVING PLACES. It just, kind of moves around AND PEOPLE CAN NEVER FIND IT EXCEPT WHEN THEY'RE NOT LOOKING FOR IT. Or it's a place that exists but also doesn't exist. iunno could just be the Stream fucking around again.

iunno I'm missing a lot of things. But it's a start I suppose.

...for some reason, "Izlude happens" made me laugh. Such a simple, confined sentence, says so much. Sounds like a... slogan.

PS HI :DDDD I CONSTANTLY SEE YOUR NAME ALL OVER THE PLACE (er in people's journals i mean)I GUESS IT'S FINALLY TIME TO EXTEND MY REACH OUTWARDS, HUH?

[identity profile] tenshinoakuma.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
HI HI HI THIS IS MY REACHING SMILEY /o/~

It was either "Izlude happens" or "Prontera gives birth to a baby city" |||orzzz

[identity profile] rizumcbutt.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
oh god, both are kind of adorable. ;_____; Izlude happens is still wonderful, though.

OKAY HEY HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THIS, THIS MAKES ME REALLY ANGRY. YOU CAN KAFRA FROM PRONT TO IZLUDE, BUT NOT IZLUDE TO PRONT. YOU GOTTA WALK. GOD. I HATE WALKING ACROSS THAT ONE HALF OF A MAP.

\o\~nnnnnnreachingbacckkkk

[identity profile] tenshinoakuma.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
SEE I NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM SINCE I ALWAYS PLAYED ON PRIVATE SERVERS WITH WARPRAS /o\\\ But walking always sucks in RO because it's so BORING. The way I alleviate the boredom is by randomly slaughtering helpless animals with my hunter \o/

[identity profile] rizumcbutt.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
oh god, yeah, that's true, @go 0 is way easier than trying to walk to Pront. It's just ingrained in me from my iRO days that Pront > Izlude = yes okay, Izlude > Pront = FUCK.

YEAH IT'S EASY WITH A HUNTER. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO KILL. i had a bow rogue, and i remember cackling gleefully in the same way. but then she rebirthed as a dagger stalker and i was like CRAP, I HAVE TO WALK TO IT NOW?

hey, do you still play, by the way? :O

[identity profile] tenshinoakuma.livejournal.com 2008-05-07 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahaha *pats you =o* I've never used @go though :( I had to use warpra NPCs, which only warp you to cities and maybe half the dungeons. So yeah still a lot of walking D:

I-it's even better when you're kind of like me who KILLS WHILE MOVING |||OTL So like I'm not actually losing any time by killing random stuff which could kind of explain why a GM thought I was botting orz BUT YEAH I KNOW THE FEELING so I just throw a rock at it :(

Umm, I only play when my brother wants to party up but I dunno, I can't really be bothered starting again again? I played low rate servers, but iunno after grinding my character(s) to 99/rebirth and getting the items I wanted only to lose it gets really annoying after a while :(

[identity profile] rizumcbutt.livejournal.com 2008-05-10 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
yeeaahhhh, that's pretty much the RO mentality i had for the better part of a year. i got my rogue to 99 on sakray, 2/2/2, and then got her to 83 in like a month, and then just... lost all the will to continue. :( i still played occasionally on pservers, but only when they were high rate enough for me not to have to worry about starting all over again and sobbing so much.

only now my friend and i have recently found a 50/50/50, and since he knows like all the most interesting places and ways to level, it's actually kind of amusing again. :D

oh, RO, i will never truly escape your clutches. i've "quit forever" so many times. :(
