There are a few principles governing the Cathedral of Shadows:

- Fuse two demons to get one new demon

- The new demon can inherit skills from its "parents"

- The parents' stat increases are passed down to the new demon, to an extent

- Powerful demons now found in the Demon Auction can be made through fusion
