POST BEFORE I GO TO BED

IT'S REALLY WEIRD HAVING THINGS TO POST ABOUT so I kind of feel like I'm spamming right now UH. I've probably been looking a little too much into Dissidia things because I am just that excited to be finally getting the game (though it will take a lot longer before I can actually play it...), even if I'm a bit miffed that I could have bought Dissidia 012 and been able to play the storyline of the first Dissidia anyway :c

I've kind of come to the (re?)realisation that damn I can be so very shallow about some things. And the reason I'm so excited for Dissidia (aside from having fighters from the Final Fantasy games beat each other up) is because it's so flashy. I've been watching far too many videos of Dissidia gameplay and it's like gravity has taken a holiday and I love it. (Though I'm not sure how much I'll like it when I'm actually playing, given that I usually prefer having my character's feet grounded). Flashiness is the same reason why I ended up rewatching Monty Oum's Dead Fantasy series. And yeah, sure, some parts of the episodes (especially in the earlier ones) a part of my brain finds some of the movements not quite right and LOGIC and WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT etc., I still shamelessly admit I like watching the characters beat stuff up in creative ways.

Which kind of leads me to thinking about how much I like the aesthetics of certain kinds of movements, the same way I like the look of motorbikes or certain literary concepts. But I can draw motorbikes (... with enough practice, probably) and I can write the concepts I want to explore.

I've never animated movement before. Bouncing blobs don't count.

I want to give it a try.

And then I will subject you all to Composer!Joshua railgrinding with his naked feet, among other naked things I MEAN. (But probably not before you get subjected to Joshua as Onion Knight; I can't unhear Joshua when I hear english Onion Knight voice acting (they have the same VA). I hear his "Well, that was easy" line when he and Terra meet ExDeath as "Well, that was a nice distraction" HRHRRHRHGHH. And Onion Knight's alternate costume with the grey-white hair and purple eyes doesn't help at all). But seriously, starting with Composer!Joshua will probably be easier, since I don't have to worry about silly things like clothes

On the subject of pretty things, Deadman Wonderland's anime looks really pretty, and expands a little more on some things the manga breezed through (e.g. how the parents of all the children killed reacted, and how exactly Ganta was framed). And it's kind of cool seeing some of the early bird cameos as well as some backstory glimpses in the credits (though I'm kind of surprised that things that have only been relatively recently released in the manga are in there too). Hrngh it's so tempting to continue following the anime but... argh if it follows the manga faithfully, I'm going to end up being B| at it later.

\o/ Dissidia! Ahahaha, yeah, kind of weird how Dissidia 012 is sort of like an expansion? BUT ANTI-GRAVITY FIGHTING FTW.

Ahahahaha, I never noticed that about Onion Knight and Joshua! Both of them are precocious brats, too. <3 I did notice that Cecil (FFIV) and Yosuke (Persona4) have the same voice, which is kind of hilarious because they're EXACT OPPOSITES in terms of personality.

ALSO, THESE, JUST IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY SEEN THEM:
