Daily Routine Timetable
Because I am not getting anything done when left to my own devices, so... some kind of routine to get my butt back into gear!
8AM: WAKE UP.
9AM - 10AM: Pianoing.
10AM - Lunch: TST things.
Lunch - 3PM: Maths (primarily revising Calculus).
3PM - 4PM: Pianoing.
4PM - Dinner: Maths/Shower/TSTstuff/Castlevania pic/Choose Your Own Adventure
Dinner - 10PM: If Maths stuff didn't get done, go do that. If I didn't get at least 1 creature completed in the Castlevania pic or I didn't get at least one area done in the Choose Your Own Adventure, go do that (Temporarily added: Christmas fic I wanted to do for people!). Otherwise, WoW or other gaming.
10PM - Midnight: WoW or other gaming.
It's pretty obvious that when I have more than one character, I generally favour playing Joshua over my other character(s). In my current scenario, my second character would be PokéSpecial Gold.
I don't know if general RP culture has changed since the last time I bothered to browse through RP!S or RPA, but when I read through RP discussions (and 'discussions'), I got the distinct impression that it was an unwritten rule that a player had to play all their characters at a game roughly equally. Start favouring a character, and you'd get comments that you didn't play [insert character here] as much as [insert favoured character here]. There are many possible reasons why people feel they need to remark on it; maybe the play time difference is starkly different, maybe they feel like some of the characters (they like) aren't getting enough screentime and would like to play more with those characters, maybe they feel the less favoured character should be played by someone who'd put more time into them, and many various other reasons that I won't get into here.
It's always struck me as a little odd, though. The idea that a roleplayer should dedicate approximately equal amounts of time amongst all their characters in a game. Most of the time, it wasn't something that affected me, because I used to play Joshua almost exclusively, dropping secondary characters almost within a month or two of picking them up. Recently it's just something that's been drifting in and out of my mind, because I will generally prioritise Joshua tags over Gold tags because Joshua tags are so easy (though I've got a few things I want to address RE: Joshua, but I'll get into that later). And I do (rarely) wonder if I'm peeving someone with my character favourtism. But... at the same time, I don't think it's something I'll be changing.
Why?
Because Joshua is my main and Gold is my alt.
While we're on the topic of Joshua, though, I'm sort of back on the see-saw of wondering whether I'm being too nice as Joshua. Shocking, I know. But as TST is drawing to its close and most of Joshua's major hangups have gradually been ironed out, a lot of his character development roadblocks have been removed. And... well... lately, he's been somewhat helpful and semi-nice. Okay, nice for Joshua, anyway. Yeah, it's been a long time in coming and a long time in development, but sometimes it feels like I'm doing it wrong when Joshua is less of a jerkass than he used to be.
It's kind of funny, because generally my first thought when tagging for him is to take the jerk option, but then I'm all, wait, he's supposed to be trying to be nicer. Which... would basically be his train of thought.
I know Joshua mellowing out and being less of a jerk and troll is supposed to be the natural progression of his ~*character development*~, but I guess it still feels a bit weird exposing Joshua's soft and squishy inside when it's been covered in hard, dickheadedness.
Edit: Ahhhh I got two Mr. Pinchy in a row! And I got a Magical Crawdad! ♥
