1) The weather was really nice today! Something closer to winter, without it being as dreary as winter. It was nice and cool and the kind of weather I'd like to have more since it's autumn, not summer.
2) I'm not going to lose my scholarship ! \o/ The scholarship dude was pretty nice and understanding of my fail so that was a nice way to start the day.
3) I had a totally awesome conversation with my mentor about games (again hahahaha), only this time it was about game mechanics and the way we play games. She's pretty different from me in the way she plays RPGs in that she likes to grind a lot (mostly as a consequence of getting lost haha. I get lost too, but I tend to run from battles when that happens) and overlevel so battles are easy, while I do the opposite. We were talking about how much CG there is in FF8 and agreed it was a bit like a movie, to which I said "I want to play a game, not watch a movie" but then if you look at JRPGs, I've heard people who aren't used to the genre complain "I want to play a game, not read a story" which is also a perfectly legitimate complaint imo.
4) Mum made (apple) muffins! They don't look like muffins, but they have a really, really nice texture, and are v. v. tasty ♥ (Mum's muffins tend to come out rather average. These muffins were super yum)
5) I managed to get my exponential program working! After fixing a bunch of logic errors )': But I feel I learnt a lot from that, in the sense that I learnt a little more on what to do in order to find logic errors instead of just sitting there staaaaaring at the monitor trying to figure out what was wrong. It was like undergoing catharsis !
But. but.yeah, I'm too lazy to write up the Trees are Pimp conversation ;;
