Dissidia 012 Game-blog

Gosh, forget about finishing 13th cycle; I could Quick Battle/Labyrinth Mode with Onion Knight all day now that I have his brave-HP attacks.

Man, I think 012 might have actually made Onion Knight viable without needing Smiting Soul through the ridiculous boosters, meaning stacking attack actually means something, especially since landing attacks with Onion Knight is ridiculously easy compared to some other characters. It also means his assist charges up godly fast even without accessories. I've also been taking to using his direct HP attacks (primarily Firaga, but Blade Torrent too occasionally), since they actually do have a good amount of utility.

Also, bravery recovery seems to be a lot faster in this game, so there's much less chance of Onion Knight getting punched in the face. Stage bravery seems to be reduced, too, so if I do get punched in the face and bravery broken, it's much less of an instant game over than it was in the first game. Skills that have the Absorb property also seem to actually be a legit threat, and Wind Shear seems to come out faster than it did in the first game. Also, it seems quickmoving restores jumps, which is a good thing to know, since now I literally have Onion Knight bouncing off the walls now. Very useful in places like Planet's Core, though I still dislike that map.

What I'm a little concerned about is not having enough CP to have everything I want, since Onion Knight has a few more things that are useful for him than in the first game. Snooze and Lose is definitely something I want, but because of the changed battle mechanics and the fact Onion Knight drops like a rock, Jump++ is actually something he needs in aerial maps. Also, since I've decided to actually use Onion Knight's HP attacks, that's about an extra 30 CP I don't have available.

Iron Giant is still one of the most useful summons for Onion Knight imo.

Although maybe the reason I'm so happy with Onion Knight is because I haven't been fighting the AI at the nightmarish difficulties yet, since I haven't beaten 13th cycle yet. SOMEONE ELSE DO IT FOR ME ; A;

I still don't think I fully understand Labyrinth mode, mostly because I'm like, "................ Do I lose everything if I party wipe??? What if I didn't reach a cottage when I wiped? Does this mean I still have a cottage full of items?" Is it possible to have multiple cottages, if I pitch a tent, do I start from the tent or do I have to start from the beginning again and fight my way back to my tent?? Also having Onion Knight as my main can be troublesome since I tend to kill the enemies before I get the opportunity to brave break, so the components I have available are less than everything else.

Sob why am I a million times better with Onion Knight than everyone else. Because he's all I ever useeeeeee
